Spring arrives slowly on Engineer Pass. Along Hinsdale County Road 20, snowplows from County Road and Bridge carve a narrow path, reopening one of the highest and famous jeep routes in the San Juan Mountains. Winter still holds on here, even as the world begins to warm with each passing day.
