Lake City is a town of 400 or so people in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. It’s also my home. How did the only town in the most remote county become my home? Well, you could say there was divine intervention. It all started as a teenager when my dad took the job as the Pastor at the Presbyterian Church here. Then I just decided to stay. This I blame on unparalleled stubbornness. I had instantly become captured by the 97% of the county that is public land. These lands are full of beauty, wildlife, secrets, history, and magic. Still nowhere else feels as welcoming or as interesting as the mountains around my home.
Even with all I've seen here, still nowhere else in the world has a larger to do list of places to explore either.
