Yellowstone National Park
I’ve spent the last week or so in Yellowstone National Park and it’s been absolutely amazing. My second day here I saw 2 members of the Junction Butte Pack who were howling to find their friends in the desolate snow covered landscape. After about 30 minutes they wandered up this hill and were joined by another wolf! Later in the day the rest of the pack met them. I’ve had so many great experiences in Yellowstone over the years but I think this might be my favorite. Just to see and hear the wolves in a nearly empty Lamar Valley was just everything I’d hoped visiting in the winter would be. There’s just something truly special about this land and the animals that inhabit them.
