Thirty minutes before dawn, and there’s a storm brewing. In this photo you can see the clouds building, already beginning to hide Sunshine and Wetterhorn, with Uncompahgre, and all the other peaks soon to follow as the clouds move east. What you can’t see is the constant wind blowing the storm in and moving it closer and closer. Then by 8 am this view is gone. It’s all gone grey and quiet as the world is enveloped in the snow, but for now the view is about perfect and the moonlight glistens in the snow.
