Old Time Creede

Creede, Colorado

A few years ago I was an extra for one the David Yarrow photo shoots over in Creede. He’s been doing some work in the San Juans recently, and his choice to use Creede as a location couldn’t be more ideal! The place is just pure history on every corner. The day started at 3 am, and I really didn’t think the wake up call could be justified for anything other than a summit somewhere, but I was wrong and ended up having a great time. The first shoot was at the Commodore Mine. It was a fun and completely new experience to be in front of the camera for once. No good photos of this. It was just an honor to meet David and his crew, see them at work, and be a (very) small part of it. A few hours after that ended, I stumbled across him in an empty Sunnyside Bar where he bought me a drink and talked photography. After which he invited me to stick around for the sunset photo shoot he was doing on Main Street with Cara Delevingne and Brooks Nader. The idea was Bonnie and Clyde with Creede’s iconic mountains behind. If you'd like to purchase a print, you'll have to go find his though!
