I sat in my car for thirty minutes and nearly gave up on this sunset, but finally decided that of course I had nothing better to do than sit there and wait. It rained some, all the tourists went home, rained some more, and I finally left my car to scramble down the canyon as the sky began its show. The clouds lit up in colors that even I don’t believe were real, but the last rays of light through the rain and the perfect conditions created a more perfect sunset than I could ever dream up.
