Teton Dream

I woke up at my usual hour before sunrise to a snowy 5 degree morning. I summoned all the will I had left and crawled out of my 4Runner and began driving to go look for moose. About 5 miles later I realized the clouds were just low. It wasn’t a snowstorm like the previous two days. Time for an audible. I turned around and drove back to my campsite, engaged 4wd and drove the road up the mountain.
Near the top there was about 4 inches of snow on the ground, and it went right over my crocs when I stepped out of my car, and was greeted by with this view. The Tetons lit like beacons in the first rays of sunlight while towering over a sea of clouds as far as I could see. No one else around too. Perfect is the only way to describe this morning.
After that I headed down and went to continue my original plan of looking for moose. I found some, we convened and it was then I realized I had made the decision to head south. I don’t know exactly why. I really wanted to stay, but there was no arguing this felling so I called it good and left after almost 3 months of camping around in my 4Runner in Wyoming and Montana.
