Summer Bells
Aspen, Colorado
This week’s midweek impulse trip took me to 3 nights around Aspen for some of Colorado’s most photographed scenes! This was morning at the Maroon Bells where I somehow had the shoreline completely to myself. As the alpenglow hit the Maroon Bells jagged peaks I stood there and hoped the light wind wouldn't start again blowing again down onto the alpine lake, which was was mirroring perfectly in the calm spring waters below. It didn't and the sunlit peaks, lush green slopes, and a glassy reflection captured the iconic beauty of this classic Colorado high-country landscape.
