Solitary Elk
Colorado
I’ve spent a lot of my life just silently willing an animal, clouds, or light to go just where I wanted. Usually there’s quite a bit of compromise, and more often then not no luck at all.
So when I spotted a bull elk doing nothing interesting at all, I began to hope he’d go stand in this empty snow covered field right by a lone aspen.
It took him awhile to decide to move but surprisingly he did just that!! Not surprisingly the photos where out of focus. Just when I was starting to get disappointed I noticed he had a bigger friend hidden in the trees! He took and even closer path next to the aspen and I got the shot I was hoping for!
