Heartbreak Truck
Lake City, Colorado
Follow only four miles of some of the roughest road in the San Juan Mountains, and it will lead you to a valley at around 10.500 ft that’s surrounded on both sides by several imposing yet unnamed 13ers. Along this road is this old sad Studebaker truck from the 1940s that couldn’t make it back home sometime in the early 1950s and whose axles now lie in the creek.
