I didn’t do much hiking in Glacier, mainly because the trails like the rest of the park were gloriously empty. This did present the problem of hiking alone in grizzly country. Quite the conundrum for a person like me. First day there no cars at the trailhead. Maybe tomorrow. Second day, 4 cars! Safety in numbers, let’s go!! Only saw one group of 3 the entire time who told me that sign mentioning the mom and cubs at mile 3 was indeed accurate information.
