American Morning
Lake City, Colorado
American Basin photographed during the morning light. Situated in the San Juan Mountains, this area is a critical drainage point for the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River. At 11,000+ feet, the tundra is extremely delicate; careless footsteps can kill plants that took years to grow.
